With spring break not beginning until April 12 this year, temperatures in Kent might just be perfect for sticking around our fun town. Instead of taking a vacation, why not make it a staycation? Latitude at Kent thinks these three cool places will make it worth your while.
Like a Hike With a View?
Definitely don’t pass up a chance to explore the Ledges Overlook in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, a 25-minute drive from Latitude at Kent. Formed over millions of years by prehistoric glaciers and rivers, these towering rock ledges and crevices are both beautiful and little spooky, with plenty of places to hide and jump out in front of your friends. From the Ledges Trailhead Parking lot, it’s an easy 200-yard walk to the ledges. But don’t stop there, hike the 2.2-mile Ledges Trail loop for the full experience. And, if you have time, explore some of the other 125 miles of trails at Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
If you like puzzles, then you have to visit Cracked Escape, an escape room in Kent offering an immersive experience. They have two puzzle options, an Old West ghost town or a circus-themed adventure, and both include costumes to help you look the part. But plan your visit ahead of time. Each room requires at least four players and can accommodate up to eight – so why not gather a group of friends to join you!
Like Funny Toys & Goofy Gag Gifts?
If you like goofy gag gifts and toys, then you’ll definitely want to check out Off The Wagon. This is the place to get necessities like a nose-shaped pencil sharpener, astronaut ice cream, bacon-flavored candy, and underpants in a can, among many, many other interesting things. It’s the perfect place to find novelty gifts, but it’s also a fun place to spend an hour just looking around, by yourself or with a friend.
Happy Spring 2021!
